FNIS is a secure, online questionnaire, powered by Thompson Reuters. Individual, international suppliers use this tool to apply for tax treaty benefits. University Tax Services uses details such as the individual's visa type, and U.S. visit history to determine tax treaty eligibility and taxability of payments. Please note that an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) or Social Security Number (SSN) is required to claim tax treaty benefits.
